Who ohhhh'd and ahhhh'd all day!

The sneak peaks of CHA have been such a tease! I think I "ooooh'd and ahhhh'd" a thousand times today. Last night I just could not sleep. I was up thinking about all of the new goodies and praying that I get my hands on some of the things I really want before they are all sold out.

Yes, I will be stalking the mailman this week. I cannot wait to get my hands on my new >7Gypsies Naked 97% Certifiable Stamp. I have been wanting this for WAY too long!

Big Exciting news for scrappers in my area. My wonderful friend Jen is going to begin teaching classes and holding crops for adults and children! Finally, there will be something to do around here! Whether you are a beginner or obsessed this is exciting news. I can't wait to go. I know it will be a blast! This has been something that we needed here for far too long and Jen, who is a very talented scrapper has stepped up to the plate. I wish her a wonderful journey and lots of success in her business venture!

It was a scrappy Saturday

This weekend was nothing less than perfect for scrapping. So I headed out to my friend Jen's house, the only non-CM scrapper I know besides me around here. Needless to say we did more chatting than actual creating- but the ideas we threw back and forth were endless and it was a great time. I did complete one layout and I must say it was great fun- two childhood photos of me and some fun things I put together. Pics coming soon :D
I think we all need to do that now and then- get together with a fellow scrapper.

Today seems like a good day to get something done. Jen passed me a sketch to try out- I think I might have to take her up on that since it's early and I'm still working on my first dose of coffee.

Dh went shopping and surprised me with a cordless keyboard and mouse! So cool - and this mouse moves like it's on silk. A little late coming but so worth it.

This layout was all about {favorites}

I just want you to know you're my
Favorite Girl

This layout was a blast to create. I used some of my favorite things in my stash. Goodies that I have been hoarding for months. Well, last night, I just let go and created a layout that I just love.
The title is from the song You're Beautiful by Pharrel feat. Snoop Dog.

I used a few techniques that I have been wanting to take advantage of. One is the pink ribbon. It was white but I colored it with a pink marker. I saw this great idea in the CK Top 10 magazine. I also painted the HS chipboard letters with red acrylic paint and then added glitter to each letter with Scribbles 3D paint.

Some close-Ups:

I used HS flower and aded a strand of Bling that I found at a craft store, pulled it through the center. I added a dab of glue and some glitter to the center. The heart doilie is something I picked up at the dollar store.
All of the patterned paper is Basic Grey. The rub-on is Chatterbox grafik woodcuts.

A much needed splurge.

I can not wait to recieve my new goodies in the mail!
Let's see what I got...
Autumn Leaves: Fusion Die Cut Tags & Enclosures, 3 packs Splendor Alphabet Stickers (which were both on sale!)
American Crafts: 2 packs Mumbo Jumbo Color Set 1 Letter Stickers
KI Memories: Hazard, Deeply, & Concrete Cookie Cutter Cardstock Stickers
7Gypsies: Naked 97% Certifiable Stamp
Crate Paper: Carnivale Collection Bands, Tags & Frames; Characters; ans Shapes.
Can you tell I need letters?

And then I ordered the Autoship Monthly kit from www.memorycreators.com/
I have been missin' out on good stuff for long enough!

A special surprise

I was so excited today. It seems like when you are waitng for a package, time seems to slow and fear sets in that it will arrive late.

Finally, we recieved the Nintendo DS Lite for our daughter. I was so happy that we even found the game. I ended up ordering it in a bundle~ the system, two games of our choice, and a Princess Peach pouch (we chose the style) for the price if we had bought it all separate. We would have done that anyhow, but as it worked out, that was the ONLY way that you could get it. Every place we checked is sold out until February. I will have to take pics of her and add them in tomorrow. She looks like a little techie with her stylus pen in hand!

These are neat!

I saw this on Martha this morning. They are called Photoweights. They serve as a paperweight, only you can customize it with paper or other flat items like stickers, ribbon, etc. This is such a great gift idea!

Sweet As Can Be

This photo was taken by my husband on Halloween 2003.

Of all the photos I have scrapped or saved, this one is my favorite.
This is my first 8.5 X 11 layout. Since then that is all I have been scrapping. I am sure one day I will scrap 12 X 12 again but for now I am having fun exploring new things. I think that is what makes me love scrapbooking so much!

What is your scrap {n} flava?

I have been loving this hobby for a few years now and I have realized that my own personal style has changed so much. As I look back I think about how many new things I have discovered and how much there is to still discover. From paper scrapping to digital scrapping, I have to say I love it all. Especially digi and paper together.

So much to choose from, so many new things to try. The inspiration seems endless, as are the possiblities.
